Our 1st Annual "Race For The Kids" Esports Tournament Fundraiser

Heart of Iowa Big Brothers Big Sisters is excited to launch our brand-new fundraiser: a Mario Kart tournament!
As the Esports program grows at Marshalltown Community College and many of our Littles show a strong passion for gaming, we saw a unique opportunity to connect with our community in a fresh and meaningful way. By tapping into gaming culture and our Little's interests, we hope to strengthen community ties and inspire even more connection and support!
By playing or donating, you become part of a team making a lasting impact in the lives of children ages 6 to 18.

- Tournament is held at Emerson's Innovation Center.
- There will be 16 Teams of 4 players.
- It will be ran as double elimination, so players are guaranteed two games.
- Estimated event time is 3 to 5 hours.
- Gaming consoles will be provided.
Trophies and prizes will be awarded at the end of the tournament. Winning categories include:
1. 1st Place Team of 4
2. 2nd Place Team of 4
3. Top Player (<14 y/o)
4. Top Player (15+ y/o)
How to Sign Up
First, form a team of 4 players or draft a team of Littles and a high school or college player.
Next, each player needs to secure a $60 ($240/team) donation through a business sponsor or personal funds.

We encourage you to find family, friends, co-workers, or other gamers to join your team. However, if you don’t have gamers from your business who will bring home the victory, draft Littles and/or High School/Collegiate Esport Athletes to fill your team slots.
